Auf heise lese ich noch einmal Steves für mich unverständliche bekräftigung seiner “Abschottungs-Politik”:

Die Möglichkeit, selbstprogrammierte Anwendungen oder Software von Drittherstellern auf dem iPhone zu installieren, soll es laut Jobs zumindest nach dem Willen von Apple absehbar nicht geben: Man kenne das ja von den PCs, dass man immer auf der Hut vor Viren sein müsse, man brauche immer eine Viertelstunde, bis die gesamte Sicherheitssoftware gestartet sei. Apple glaube nicht, dass Handy-Nutzer dies wollten. Man arbeite zwar an einem Weg für die Unterstützung fremder Anwendungen, sei aber noch nicht so weit.

Un-beliveable! (Um’s mit Steves Worten zu kommentieren)

I fore sure hope that a development kit will be made available, but I hope also that the certification by apple really assures that no program is entering the thing that the user does not want.
